4g93 n/a to upgrade to 500hp..very diffcult...may be can go till 200- 300hp for n/a...but if still wanna 500hp. first step you have to turbo charge it..eg bolt on turbo from GSR...but if you wanna long last engine..replace it to 4g93t stock about 180hp...mitsu already tuned and used low crompression stuff to suit the turbo charge..to modd this engine to 500hp still get headache and may not 'tahan' the force..it may suitable to 400hp
in other hand..if i were you..replace the best engine ..4g63t from evo1,2,3 ..stock already 260hp..then you can get start bit by bit from there...

ok dcruz do you know any cheap place can trade my engine 4g93 n/a with 4g93t or evo 3 and how much will cost ? i think is 4g93t same price with evo 3 right ?! i dont know if you can trade your 4g93n/a, may be you have to sell off your engine first and then get ready to pluck in the 4g63t the 4g63t nd 4g93t almost the same price right now..if your car is originally 1.8cc 4g93n/a(like satria gti) you should have no problem to convert to 2.0cc 4g63t and it is legal... now both about rm7-8k..complete halfcut

may be you can get atleast rm4k for you n/a engine...may be have to top up another rm4k for the engine, rm1.5-2k for the transplant labour, rm500 for the full exhaust set...may be rm300 for the muffler
make sure the halfcut you get -engine -gearbox -full wiring - until rear wiper n fuel pump wiring -full dashboard n meter -4 wheel fuel tank - front shaft n disc brake -rear disc brake (optional)
stock evo 3 may pump up max 240hp

ya me original engine is 1.8cc 4g93 N/A so i think is legal to convert to evo 3 do you know how much i sell my engine evrything ? what you think evo 3 stuck how many hp ? i dont think so u can convert to Evo3 engine coz its 2.0.. JPJ had made new regulations only Proton car that are stock 2.0 engine can convert to another 2.0 mitsubishi engine, and it was Proton Perdana. So thats mean only proton perdana can convert to any 2.0 engine thats include the Evo engine or any VR4 engine.. Your car is Putra 1.8 rite? so the only turbo charged engine that u can convert is GSR engine, 4G93T 1.8cc. A friend of mine told me his brother have putra and he had convert to Evo2 engine inside his putra but the engine cannot be endorsed because of the new regulations. But yet, u still can convert to Evo engine but the engine cannot be endorse. Just use it illegal on the road. Do u dare to do it? hehehehe....

First, the new regulations said that any proton car that are not 2.0cc cannot convert any mitsu 2.0cc engine.. so your wira cannot convert evo engine.. only perdana car can use 2.0cc mitsu engine.. that means only 4G93T is the only turbo engine u can convert and endorse. Thats why the market price for 4G93T is around RM10k something, more expensive than evo or vr4 engine.
second, if u insist to convert evo engine, surely u will have hard time to endorse your engine.. if u using an engine without endorsing, surely u will get caught at JPJ roadblock.. Nice intercooler in front the bumper will attract the JPJ to ask u whether u have endorse your engine or not.. if u are not lucky, they will SITA your car.. so it is a gamble for u whether to use legal or illegally on the street.. eheh..

well, i dont know if there is 'new' law of jpj...but for sure the stock engine of yr car can be up upgaded max 25% from the original engine capacity i.e 25% of 1800cc = 450cc upgrade 1800 + 450 = 2250cc(max) by law the 2.0cc engine can be transplate to 1.8 body. For me as long its legal, dont worry to upgrade yur engine, the illegal part is 'street racing' but then even tough you use yur father stock waja/ferrari in street racing, still illegal..hahahah quote by jpj Kategori 2 : Penukaran enjin dari model yang sama dan keupayaan kapasiti tidak melebihi atau tidak kurang 25% dari enjin yang asal. check this w/site pls portal.jpj.gov.my/v5/index.php/Teknikal/Panduan-memohon-penukaran-enjin/Jenis-Permohonan.html
